Introduction
The backup page is the same for any app and has a variety of statuses, features and detailed information surrounding your secured data. Here is the breakdown and how to navigate.
Step 1
From anywhere on the website, navigate to Your Protected Apps and then select any app.
Step 2
Starting from the left side of the page:
Selection
Tick an individual item or select all to bulk action the following:
- Deactivation
- Activation
- Restore
- Delete
Active backup status
The purple toggle next to each backup indicates whether or not it is scheduled for automated backups every day. This can be done individually or in multiple selections.
NOTE
A deactivated backup still counts as a backup, as part of your subscription.
Item
Depending on your app, the logo shown will represent the type of item it is in relation to the app. ie, repository, gist, board, workspace, project.
Item visibility and location
Your items, whether they are repositories, boards, projects etc, usually belong to a point of origin in your account. They also, almost always have a visiblity type of some kind. This feature helps you better identify what your backup actually is and where it's from, for easier referencing.
Visibilities
- Public (PBC)
- Private (PVT)
- Workspace (WRK)
- Organisation (ORG)
- Open (OPN)
- Restricted (RSD)
- Company managed (CM)
- Team managed (TM)
Locations
- Workspace/project names
- Product type (Where applicable, ie, Jira Software, Jira Work Management)
Name
The name of your backup from your app account. ie, repository, board, workspace.
Last Backup
The date and time of the latest incremental backup (manual or automated operated).
Backup Size
The file size of the latest backup. They are displayed in KB and MB.
Status
This indicates if the backup is either Active or Deactive. This means the backup has no issues, either a communication issue from your app to BackupLABS or a server error. Detailed information can be found in the Audit Trail as well as View.
NOTE
This has nothing to do with the activate and deactivate feature.
Delete
This option will delete the entire backup from your BackupLABS account including all of the revision history.
IMPORTANT
This is a permanent action.
View
Selecting View, opens a new page detailing all backup iterations that item. From here you can Download the backup as well as Restore from any of the dates and times shown.
Restore
Selecting Restore from this page will recover the individual backup you selected at the latest point in time. If you want to restore multiple items at the same time, you need to use the selection tool mentioned earlier.
NOTE
To restore from a different point in time, it's advised to restore from the View page.
